Rarity in green cosmetic, Yves Rocher has its own research department. A Research Center is specifically dedicated to Botanical Beauty Care innovation. 20 multidisciplinary teams are working together to discover, isolate and formulate the most efficient ingredients and textures based on plants for women beauty care.

With this acquisition, the Yves Rocher Group (2 billion euros in turnover in 2011, with 60% of sales outside France, and 15,000 staff worldwide, 7,000 in France and 8,000 abroad) is strengthening its internationalization strategy.
Yves Rocher, a France-based producer and retailer of beauty and personal care products, posted 4% growth in 2014. Its performance was constrained by heavy reliance on Western Europe and particularly on France. The acquisition of the Turkish brand Flormar in 2012 helped to diversify its geographic market reach, but a focus on building internet sales and rolling out new franchises will need to be part of any coherent international development strategy.
